Hi there, I’m Karew, the guy behind these articles on The Smart Dimwhit, and here is a little about me.
Welcome to my blog! Where I focus on the world through the perspective of an introvert. I share my thoughts, experiences, and maybe even a laugh or two, as I navigate common and not so common interactions within an extroverted society.
The Smart Dimwhit is a world inside every introvert’s mind in extroverted situations. Here, I document the beauty of introversion and the challenges, and this is a place of hilarious and thought-provoking serenity for all introverts.
While writing this about page I’ve learned as an introvert that the world isn’t always understanding of people like us. Networking events, loud parties, and other social gatherings. All this coupled with the expected behavior to “fit in” can be overwhelming and exhausting. But don’t worry, as I’m here to share tips and tricks for navigating these situations and still having a good time (or at least making it through in one piece).
One of my favorite introvert survival strategies which has been guaranteed by many before me, is what I like to call “ghosting.” No, not the kind where you stop returning someone’s text messages (although that can be tempting). I mean the art of disappearing in social situations without anyone noticing. Trust me, it’s a skill worth mastering.
But being an introvert isn’t all about avoiding social situations. In fact, we can be quite outgoing and friendly when we’re in the right environment. That’s why I’m passionate about finding the places and activities that bring out the best in us. There are plenty of ways for introverts to connect with others on our own terms.
Of course, being an introvert doesn’t mean we’re antisocial or unfriendly. We just prefer smaller, more intimate settings where we can really connect with people. And when we do find our tribe, we’re fiercely loyal and supportive.
So if you’re an introvert or someone looking to understand an introvert and looking for a little humor, advice, or just someone to commiserate with, you’ve come to the right place.
Let’s navigate this extroverted world together, one quiet moment at a time.

Why Did I Come Up with the Name TheSmartDimWhit?
When I chose the name TheSmartDimWhit, I imagined myself creating a personal space which shows off my most interesting qualities as I observed life which is mostly designed for extroverts and type-A personalities, while letting the blog name resonate with my own name. Thesmartdimwhit targets the community of persons I would like to relate to: thought-provoking thinkers who don’t take themselves and the world too seriously as introverts.
